The New Fly Fishing Basics (Outdoor)
The New Fly Fishing Basics Customer Review: Not Fly Fishing for Dummies
This is an elegantly straightforward guide that will tell you what you are doing wrong and what you are doing right. It assumes some foreknowledge of the sport and therefore doesn’t condescend. The friendly but not over-cuddly hosts are painstakingly thorough and not pedantic — they’ve inspired me to tie my own flies, even. I’ve viewed this over and over. In the dark of winter, it’s the next best thing to being “out there.” Highly recommended to those who sincerely wish to improve their knowledge and skills.

Mega Bloks Pyrates Skull Captain Cutlass’ Stormstalker (Outdoor)
Mega Bloks Pyrates Skull Captain Cutlass’ Stormstalker Customer Review: Excellent Toy, one of the few toys my kids play with daily
This is a great toy, the details and structure are superb, the product parts are strong and durable, the figurines are by far a better design and more enjoyable for kids to play with than any lego figurines, each figure is an individual character with changeable parts, the toy is not a building block toy and the boat won’t fall apart or be broken into pieces by a young child, this product would make any 4 to 6 year old extremely happy, my four year old is a big fan of the entire megablok pyrate collection; and like most parents I don’t mind spending money on a toy that will be used and enjoyed.

Customer Review: Worst money I ever spent…
I should have read the reviews. This video is the equivalent of trying to cram 4 years of higher education into 58 minutes. The “Reader” (instructor) blows through topics so quickly that you’re still mentally on the first topic when the end credits are rolling. Only the Micro-Machine commercial guy could have blown through this faster. It should be illegal to sell something this bad.
If you’re trying to take a short cut to your captain’s license, don’t do it. Sign up for a REAL USCG class. They’re expensive, but only about 10 times the cost of this over-priced steaming pile. I wouldn’t even check this out for free from the local library. I have wasted 58 minutes of my life. Is there a rating less than one star?

The Forest (Outdoor)
The Forest Two campers Sharon and Teddy are terrorized in the deep dark woods of the California wilderness by a cannibalistic knife-wielding madman. Teddy is killed but Sharon manages to escape. That same night their boyfriends, Steve and Charlie, take refuge in an old cave to protect themselves from the storm. There they meet the killer an old man wearing a beat up old baseball cap named John. He tells them the story of how he walked in on his unfaithful wife and her lover. He killed them both, and gathered his two children and ran off into the forest. Unfortunately, his kids got sick and they commited suicide. Since then, he has developed a taste for human flesh and will kill anybody who trespasses on his territory. The next morning, Charlie is drowned and prepared for the killer’s breakfast. He then goes looking for Sharon, who has, unbeknownst to him, teamed up with the ghosts of his two dead children. The maniac chases Sharon but just as he’s about to kill her his ghost kids save her. He runs off into the wilderness to find the wounded Steve, who has broken his leg. Can Sharon save her boyfriend in time? AKA: Terror In the Forest
Customer Review: Great 1980’s cannibal horror.
[good things]
Besides the eerie feeling of this movie, and the plot, the movie really didn’t offer much. I did like the back story on the man and the children and thought the way that sub-plot was worked in was good. The scene where the guys were (unknowing) eating their friend was pretty classic itself. Since it was a typical 1980’s in the woods slasher I really enjoyed it. The opening scene was the best, it’s too bad that it was also the bloodiest. Otherwise, the directing and the acting was pretty good. Some of the chasing scenes were very well done, and prett intense– some of the better parts of the movie.
[the bad]
The movie had some really dull moments, and the cast (aside from ) weren’t very likable, and I thought the ghosts of the kids didn’t really fit into the movie. That addition didn’t really hurt the movie per se, but it simply made the movie into more of a supernatural movie than a maniac in the woods movie. I also did not care for the ending, as it was not carried out very well and very close to being lame, to say the least.
[final thoughts]
One of the lost slashers of the 1980’s, yet to be released on DVD. I really think with geat attention this movie could be put onto DVD with remastering, cut scenes, featurettes, and commentary and be a gem. It’s not the prototypical slasher classic like Black Sunday and never will be, but it is a solid slasher with everything we love– blood, cannibalism, really bad characters and really ditty girls. When I got this movie and popped it in, I was instantly drawn to the television, even during the slowest parts I never blinked an eye in fear of missing a beat.
